KDS 7th Graders Shine at Expo
Students from Kate Duncan DAR Middle School gathered for a #GoodCharacters Expo to present impactful service projects to community members, mentors, and peers. Congratulations Lady Patriots Volleyball Teams!
Congratulations to all four KDS DAR Volleyball teams who recently completed very successful seasons. While winning two of the four Marshall County Tournaments, the girls’ hard work and determination has shown up not only on the court but also in the classroom with all the players maintaining a 3.0 or higher GPA. The Varsity team finished the season at 34-21, with a very demanding schedule. They played and defeated several large schools this season and won the county schools

KDS Golf Tournament a Big Success
Thanks to the gorgeous fall weather, generous sponsors, and some 60+ golfers, the 2025 Patriot Scramble Golf Tournament  was a huge success. The 3rd annual tournament took place on November 6 at Gunter's Landing Golf Course, with proceeds supporting the KDS DAR School Annual Fund. KDS Fourth Graders Honor Heroes
After doing a unit of study with her class on the significance of the events of 9/11 and Patriots Day, KDS 4th grade teacher Shelby Edmonds wanted to give the students a way to personally honor their heroes. She reached out to parents and others on social media asking for the names of heroes such as military personnel, firemen, policemen, nurses, etc. The responses included 26 names and addresses ranging from locals to those as far away as New York.
