First Graders’ Familiar Pen Pal
After a recent story about pen pals in the KDS 1st grade reading program, Open Court , teacher Beverly Stapler and her class decided to adopt U.S. Navy Seaman Braden Stapler as their class pen pal. Braden, who is Mrs. Stapler’s son, is currently stationed overseas, and the children are very excited to learn about the country he lives in and the job he does as a sailor with the United States Navy.
