2026 KDS Alumni Challenge
Help us reach the finish line! The Burkey Center High School Gymnasium is in need of 204 new bleacher seats, and we are calling on our KDS Alumni to lead the way. A contribution of just $65 covers the cost of one seat. By sponsoring a seat today, you are directly investing in the safety and comfort of our students, faculty, and visiting fans. The Olivia P. & Noel A. Burkey Center has been a cornerstone of our campus since 2003. Beyond housing our DAR-sponsored Art and Family & Consumer Sciences departments, the center's gymnasium is the heart of school life – hosting everything from PE classes and volleyball games to milestone events like Dedication Day and Graduation.
However, our gym seats are showing their age. We are launching a challenge to replace 204 damaged bleacher seats in 2026. Following the incredible success of the 2024 Centennial Campus Commons drive, we know our alumni can help us reach our $13,260 goal.
