KDS 7th Graders Shine at Expo

ree

Students from Kate Duncan DAR Middle School gathered for a #GoodCharacters Expo to present impactful service projects to community members, mentors, and peers. The expo was sponsored by the Liberty Learning Foundation.

After participating in the American Character Program for several weeks, where they learned about historical figures who shaped America, they were tasked with starting their own transformations. What followed demonstrated that they are well on their way to making the world a better place.

From their booths, students explained how they formed groups, identified issues, collaborated with local mentors, and began taking action. Beyond the civics and character lessons in the program’s curriculum, they gained practical experience in teamwork, service, empathy, compassion, and communication. Their creativity, resourcefulness, and determination offers assurance that America’s future is in capable hands!
