Leadership Changes at KDS

The 2026-2027 school year marks several key leadership transitions across the KDS DAR Schools community, with experienced administrators assuming new roles. 

At KDS DAR High School, Brandon Edwards transitions from his previous role as Primary School Principal to serve as High School Principal, collaborating closely with Assistant Principal Miranda McCoy. Former KDS DAR High School Principal Larry Bolin has accepted the position of Career Tech Director and Principal of the Marshall Technical School.

At KDS DAR Primary and Elementary Schools, Sonya Hester, formerly the Assistant Principal for both schools, steps into the role of Primary School Principal. Jason Ford, previously the Middle School boys' P.E. teacher, has been appointed Assistant Principal serving both the Primary and Elementary Schools, while Cilia Smith continues in her role as Elementary School Principal.

Meanwhile, KDS DAR Middle School leadership remains unchanged, with Principal Jennifer Morrison and Assistant Principal Michelle Clay continuing in their administrative capacities.
