Take a Seat: KDS Launches Campaign to Repair Bleachers in the Burkey Center Gymnasium

The Olivia P. & Noel A. Burkey Center has been a center of campus life since its construction in 2003. Beyond housing the DAR-sponsored Art, Music, and Family & Consumer Sciences departments, the center's gymnasium is the heart of school and community life, hosting everything from PE classes and basketball and volleyball games to milestone events like Dedication Day and Graduation.

However, the gym seats are showing their age with significant wear-and-tear.

204 damaged bleacher seats need to be replaced in 2026. The total amount needed to reach this goal is $13,260.
