DAR Chapter Brings Books & Smiles to KDS Students

Literacy was front and center at Kate Duncan Smith DAR School during a recent visit from members of the Columbian Chapter, NSDAR (Columbia, Missouri). Chapter Regent Melissa Applegate and Chaplain Christina Maring made a special trip to the KDS campus, bringing with them an extraordinary donation of roughly 1,300 new books for the Elementary and Middle School libraries.

"Our chapter delights in getting books into children’s hands," shared Chaplain Christina Maring following the visit. "There’s just something special about holding a book in your hands."

The faculty, staff, and students at KDS DAR School extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire Columbian Chapter for their dedication to education and their wonderful generosity.
