Sprocket Visits KDS Elementary School Students

Sprocket, the mascot of Huntsville's minor league baseball team, stopped by to help kick off the new school year with an extra dose of fun. This past spring, DAR Elementary School students had an incredible turnout in the Rocket City Trash Pandas Reading Program. To celebrate their dedication to reading, growing, and working hard, Sprocket brought high-fives, waves, and plenty of smiles to afternoon dismissal.

Finding fun, meaningful ways to recognize student achievement helps foster a lifelong love for reading. Having Sprocket join in the fun reminded our students that their hard work doesn't go unnoticed—and that reading can open doors to exciting rewards!

We are so proud of our students' literacy efforts and can't wait to see how many books they tackle this school year. Keep reading, Patriots!
