4th Graders Soar with 4-H Birdhouse Projects

Hands-on learning was on full display at KDS DAR Elementary School as 4th-grade students completed their 4-H Birdhouse Projects. The activity provided students with an engaging opportunity to blend practical problem-solving with artistic craftsmanship.

Through this initiative, students developed practical woodworking and design skills while cultivating a lasting appreciation for nature. Dr. Cilia Smith shared that watching students gain confidence in new skills and take pride in their finished projects highlights the positive impact of experiential learning across our elementary classrooms.
