Second Graders Celebrate Presidents’ Day with DAR Friends

Members of the Twickenham Town Chapter, NSDAR, recently visited KDS to celebrate Presidents’ Day with Kayla Owens’ second grade class. While the students snacked on patriotic-themed cookies, the chapter members presented each student with a penny, a nickel, and a dollar bill. This was followed by a brief discussion with the students on each president depicted. 

The chapter also provided period-correct outfits for the students to wear for the occasion as well as a nice donation to the KDS DAR Elementary School library.
