The KDS DAR Lady Patriots Tennis Team just completed a “re-building” season with several impressive accomplishments:
The team finished 5th in the area out of 9 teams, of which the top 3 were private schools.
All of the girls won at least one match at sectionals, which was an immense improvement over last year when none of the girls won a single match.
KDS 8th grader Zoe McCoy and freshman Anna Turley won 1st place in Alabama 4A/5A Section 7 for Girls’ 3rd doubles.
Unfortunately, the team did not have enough points to qualify for state tournament play, but they are very young and are working hard to continue to improve. All the girls are looking forward to doing even better next year with the goal of qualifying for state.
