Help KDS "Bless" its Students and their Families this School Year

Children cannot learn if they are hungry.

The KDS Blessing Bags Program addresses this basic need by providing critical assistance to schoolchildren and their families who struggle financially. With the rising cost of food and toiletry items affecting so many, it is imperative that we help those who need it most.

KDS families are invited to apply for assistance through the Blessing Bags Program. Once approved, the family receives a monthly food voucher that can be used in our local grocery store. The vouchers must be used within the month issued and can only be used for food and essential toiletry items. During the 2024-2025 school year, 137 KDS students and 51 families benefited from the monthly vouchers.

The cost to sponsor one child is approximately $150 per school year.
