2026 KDS DAR School Senior Awards Day and Graduation

Senior Awards Day

At the 2026 Senior Awards Day, approximately $1,245,955 in scholarships was presented to 75 deserving KDS graduates. The scholarship totals with their sources are as follows:

• $1,038,745 – Scholarships from Colleges, Universities, Tech Schools, Trade Schools, and Military Education bonuses

• $183,250 – Scholarships sponsored by the DAR

• $24,000 – Scholarships sponsored by the community/foundations

In addition to scholarships, 53 special awards totaling over $18,300 were presented. These accolades celebrated our students not just for their academic success, but also for their outstanding character, dedicated service, and continuous commitment to excellence.

Graduation

Graduation at Kate Duncan Smith DAR School is a major milestone, celebrating the culmination of thirteen years of academic dedication. It marks an exciting launching point for the next chapter of our students' lives. We were absolutely thrilled to celebrate the Kate Duncan Smith DAR School Class of 2026 during our Graduation and Awards Day ceremonies on Thursday, May 14th. It was a truly memorable occasion to honor the achievements of these 88 exceptional young men and women.

Class of 2026 Valedictorian Catharine Epperson and Salutatorian Bailey Adams reflected on their time at KDS, sharing special memories and inspirational thoughts with their classmates and families and friends in attendance.

Graduation at Patriot Stadium has become a special tradition at KDS and this year was no exception. Visiting DAR members and other distinguished guests offered greetings and words of wisdom to the graduates. Congratulations to the KDS Class of 2026. We cannot wait to see what your future holds!
