A Storm Rolled Into 6th Grade ELA
The atmosphere at KDS DAR Middle School turned electric this week as 6th grade English Language Arts students traded their standard lessons for a journey into the eye of the storm. In a creative writing workshop designed to spark the imagination, students were tasked with crafting "stormy narratives," placing themselves directly in the middle of a wild, cinematic weather event.

4th Grade Campus Replica Project
The 4 th grade students of KDS Elementary social studies teacher Shelby Edmonds recently completed a project to create replicas of the many beautiful historic buildings on campus. The students researched the history of the building they chose, then created a Google Slide presentation with the research information and photos. KDS Middle School Science Class Receives TVA Grant
KDS Teacher Jonah Miller is bringing the future of farming into his 7th and 8th-grade science classroom. Thanks to a $3,500 grant from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and Bicentennial Volunteers, Inc. (BVI), KDS is launching an innovative new biotechnology program.
