KDS DAR School was once again pleased to co-host the “Salute to Veterans” program with the Gunter Mountain Chapter, NSDAR on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. More than 20 local veterans attended.
The program featured Past Reporter General Mindy Kammeyer with her presentation entitled “A Civilian in Vietnam”. Mindy detailed her experiences as a flight attendant on flights transporting soldiers into and out of Vietnam in the late 60s and early 70s. The program al
so had a musical performance by the KDS Band and an “Armed Forces Salute” presented by the KDS Choir. The Family & Consumer Sciences Department prepared a brunch for the veterans and other guests.
