At KDS DAR Middle School, learning isn’t just about reading from a textbook—it’s about bringing lessons to life. Sixth grade students stepped out of their comfort zones and into some truly engaging projects that combined literature, math, and a bit of friendly competition.
Students explored the world of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series. To wrap up their study of the novel, students took on the Camp Half-Blood Council Poster Project.
This wasn't just an art project; it was a deep dive into literary analysis. Students worked in teams to:
Analyze complex characters and central conflicts.
Identify recurring themes and mythological influences.
Showcase their findings through vibrant, creative posters.
Watching the "councils" collaborate to represent their assigned gods and goddesses was a testament to their hard work and creativity!
