Middle Schoolers Visit the U.S. Space & Rocket Center

KDS DAR School 6th and 7th grade students recently had an out-of-this-world experience at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama! Thanks to the generous support of the Huntsville Chapter of the National Space Club, more than 200 students and faculty members were able to attend this exciting field trip.

Throughout the day, students toured the exhibits in the museum where they learned about the history of space exploration and saw rocket displays, experienced an awe-inspiring show in the planetarium, and tested their skills on two of the Center’s simulators - giving everyone a small taste of what it’s like to train like an astronaut!

As a special bonus, every student and faculty member received a commemorative t-shirt and souvenir to remember the adventure. The trip was a perfect blend of education, inspiration, and fun, sparking new curiosity about science, technology, and the wonders of space.
