KDS Volleyball Program Celebrates Successful Season

With hard work and dedication, the KDS DAR Volleyball program continues to grow and thrive, and all four teams experienced great success this season.

The 7th grade team, coached by Gregg Taylor, finished the season with a 36-6 record and 2nd place in the Marshall County Tournament.  The team also won first place in four regular season tournaments.

The 8th grade team, coached by Claudia Taylor, finished the season with a record of 45-2 and 1st place in the Marshall County Tournament.  The team won first place in four regular season tournaments as well.

The Junior Varsity team, coached by Jaquelyn Hoffman, finished the season with a record of 22-19.  We are very proud of this group, as they celebrate their first winning season for KDS DAR JV volleyball in many years.

The Varsity team finished the season with a record of 35-16.  They won first place in the Brewer Tournament and the Athens Tournament. A huge accomplishment was winning the regular season Area Championship, the Class 4A Area 16 Tournament Championship, and making it to the Regional Tournament.

Head Coach Tanya Broadway states, “We are very proud of all our girls and especially our eight seniors: Ansley Barnes, Emma May, Tana Osborne, Emily Reeves, Ruby Tielking, Hannah Wingate, and managers, Katie Randles and Khloe Randles!”

Congratulations to the coaches and all four Lady Patriot Volleyball Teams!

Four KDS Varsity Volleyball players were named to the Class 4A Area 16 All-Tournament Team; Emily Reeves, Tana Osbourne, Chloe Walker and Ansley Barnes.
