School spirit at KDS is running high this year with a week of Homecoming Spirit activities culminating in the crowning of the 2024 Homecoming Queen and King and a football game on September 20th. The Friday night game and festivities capped off a spirit-filled week of wacky dress-up days, building floats, and decorating hallways and doors.
The activities began on Tuesday with a Homecoming Dance at Dove Creek Farms, followed by a powderpuff football game on Thursday night. The Homecoming parade was great this year, with perfect weather and some excellent class floats. As part of the celebration of the 100th year of KDS DAR School, all DAR graduating classes were invited to be a part of the Homecoming Parade, with the classes of 1962, 1968, 1969, 1984, 2022, and 2023 choosing to participate. Also in the parade were members of all three DAR Patriot Football teams as well as players from the local youth league teams.
The week of festivities was completed on Friday night with the crowning of KDS DAR Homecoming Queen Addison Stinson and King Shawn Stout and then the football game against Westminster Christian.
This fun-filled week gave students an opportunity to express their school spirit with classmates and the community.
