KDS Students Presented with J.A.C. Awards
The Hunt's Spring Chapter, NSDAR, held its annual Junior American Citizens awards ceremony on Thursday, March 12, in Becker-Horton Hall. The theme for the 2025-26 contest was "Celebrating 250 Years of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness: Happy Birthday America! 1776–2026!". Categories for this year's entries were short story, poem, digital art, stamp design, poster design, and banner design. Congratulations to this year's winners!

KDS Student Representatives Honored at ASDAR State Conference
KDS DAR School 2026 Student representatives Gillian Head and Clint Carter brought greetings and introduced themselves during the Opening Night Ceremony at the 128th Alabama Society Daughters of the American Revolution State Conference in Auburn. DAR Middle Schoolers Earn High Marks in Fishing Tournament
Members of the DAR Patriots Middle School Fishing Club competed in a fishing tournament at Lake Martin in Alexander City alongside 75 other teams from across the state on March 14. The team of 8th grader Max Miller and 7th grader Case Frey placed 2nd in the tournament with five fish with a total combined weight of 10.38 lbs.
